He is interested in visiting the Pala District. I know very little about this district, so I'm asking for advise. It is so far away I won't want to attempt a visit unless I know I can make it meaningful. If anyone is willing to provide the name of a knowledgeable, connected, and involved person in the area? He can buy buckets of material and screen it on site or visit the store and see what specimens they have. Also he is very close to The Collector store in Fallbrook which has classic Himalaya Mine specimens. If he is going to Tucson he can hook up with Millennium Inc. who will have a booth at the Main Show. They own the Stewart Lithia Mine in Pala. There is no open collecting area anywhere in the Pala area and all lands surrounding the main mines are surrounded by Indian Reservation and private property. - -- Gem and Mineral Exploration Company (GAMECO) PMB 373 4141 Ball Road Cypress, CA 90630 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Jan 2001 08:06:57 +0100 From: "Chris Auer" Subject: Re: Sotheby's - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith Hayes" To: Sent: Saturday, January 06, 2001 7:27 AM Subject: Re: Sotheby's > Wow, quite a difference in opinions between John and Chris on the > significance of the Freilich collection.
