I have loaded around 20 specimens in the (new, revamped, database-driven) RockRoom. Just follow the link at http://www.crocoite.com Even if you don't want to buy, there are some images there that I'm pretty proud of. NB: to all US list members, and anyone else touched by last week's tragedy, our thoughts are with you. At least five of my US-based work colleagues were on the planes that crashed. Lots of them don't have sizes though. Can you add that info? And thanks for the condolences. Kitty At 05:30 AM 9/16/2001 -0400, you wrote: >Hi all > >Having a bit of a clear-out. I've recently acquired a specimen of nice scheelite from Hunan province China... The source I received it from has passed away, and before bothering the list I checked my Dana to see if there were possibly any more specifics there. There weren't. The scheelite is perched on what appears to be a plate of muscovite. Does anyone have anymore specifics they may be able to offer?? Hunan province is a big place. p.s. I've noted these kinds of questions being posed to the group before and I hope no one minds the asking, and if so; mention it, and maybe we can stifle this sort of question. I have quite a bit of reference material, but as we all know, never quite enough. I do; attempt to answer these sort of questions when I feel I have enough authority to do so.... ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Sep 2001 23:00:39 -0400 From: Kreigh Tomaszewski Subject: Re: [BOUNCE] Scheelite from Hunan China specifics ?? Go out to http://google.com and search on "scheelite from hunan province china". Many of the matches included locations and pictures. If you don't find a mate to your specimen you will still get to see some pretty minerals.
