Give it a shot: http://people.ne.mediaone.net/paugilmo/page1a.html Also, how do I go about exchanging links with websites I like? Thanks. Euro 148 is about US$ 133, much less than the cost of the Dana 8th edition that came out in 1997. That was priced at about $290, and now Wiley has raised the price to $375! The latest Strunz costs only 1/3 of the latest Dana, and presumably will have only 1/3 of the errors and omissions of Dana (Wiley did a bad job of editing it, compounded by a bad job of pricing), and the Strunz is a newer offering. If you were put off by the cost of the other book, the new Strunz is a fine opportunity to get a good systematic mineralogy text at an affordable price. And don't wait too long; if the publishing industry continues its trend of consolidation, monopoly pricing may affect even such noble offerings as this book. I did not find Strunz listed by Amazon, so there may be no discount pricing available. It would be worth checking in a couple months, if you cannot afford the Strunz at this time. However, Amazon no longer has discount pricing on Dana - although that is a complicated matter, since the book did not come up under most searches at Amazon and when I did find it by searching on the exact title, they show a list price at 325 rather than the current Wiley list of 375.
